Welcome to Western Pennsylvania School for
Blind Children Foundation’s
Annual Report
Founded in 2019, Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children (WPSBC) Foundation
exists for one purpose: to strengthen and sustain the future of the School. The
Foundation provides essential financial support that ensures every child and young adult
receives the specialized education, therapies, and resources they need to grow and
thrive.
The Foundation was established to safeguard and manage the financial investments that
support the School beyond what state and local district funding can provide. By
operating as a separate entity, the Foundation can fully focus on investment
management and sustaining the financial stability of WPSBC. This allows the School’s
dedicated educators and administrators to continue to do what they do best: provide
exceptional education and care for every student. By managing and growing charitable
investments, we ensure long-term financial stability for the School while
expanding life-changing opportunities not only for students
we have today, but for generations to come.
All donations and funding given to the Foundation to
manage directly support WPSBC students providing them
with the tools they need to increase independence, build
communication skills, and experience the joy in
learning. WPSBC is the sole beneficiary of the
Foundation. When you give to the WPSBC
Foundation, you invest in a child’s future.
The following pages contain the financial status
of the Foundation and list the Foundation’s
Board of Trustees. For more information on the
impact of your support, you can view the
School’s Annual Report that highlights how your
donations empower student success, support
the School’s dedicated staff, and so much more.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
